Dr. Diana Betzinska, PhD, is a neurologist with expertise in neurophysiology, epilepsy, cerebrovascular and neurodegenerative disorders, and regenerative medicine.

Dr. Betzinska graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 2007. She completed her specialist training in neurology at St. Naum University Hospital of Neurology and Psychiatry and obtained her specialty in Neurology in 2019. In 2021, she successfully defended her doctoral dissertation, “Neurophysiological Methods for the Diagnosis and Monitoring of Epilepsy Treatment in Adults,” earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree.

She holds professional certifications in electroencephalography (EEG) and Doppler neurosonography, enabling her to perform advanced neurophysiological and vascular assessments in the diagnosis and monitoring of disorders affecting the central and peripheral nervous systems.

Dr. Betzinska’s clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy, cerebrovascular diseases, headache disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, polyneuropathies, and other neurological conditions. Her work combines comprehensive neurological assessment with modern diagnostic methods and individualized patient management.

Regenerative medicine and the clinical application of cell-based technologies represent an important area of her professional practice. As part of a multidisciplinary medical team, Dr. Betzinska participates in the assessment of patients being considered for cell therapy programs, as well as in neurological monitoring and follow-up of patients undergoing treatment with mesenchymal stem cells and other modern biomedical products.

Her research and clinical work focus on the responsible integration of innovative regenerative medicine approaches into neurological practice, with particular attention to the principles of evidence-based medicine, patient safety, and international quality standards.
