A Mother’s Story: Our 6-Year-Old Son With Autism

Age: 6 years

Diagnosis: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Previous cell therapy: Mexico

Treatment at StemPlus: January 2026

Cell type: MUSE cells

Our son is 6 years old and has autism spectrum disorder. One of our biggest challenges was his behavior. He experienced episodes of severe aggression, which could be directed both toward himself and toward us as his parents.

Communication was also difficult. His vocabulary was limited, and it was often challenging for him to understand and process what we were saying. As parents, we were constantly looking for ways to support his development and make everyday life easier for him.

Our First Experience With Cell Therapy

About a year and a half before coming to StemPlus, our son underwent his first cell therapy in Mexico.

After that treatment, we began to notice positive changes. The episodes of aggression became less frequent and less intense. He started using more words and seemed to understand information and instructions better.

These changes were very important to us, so when we began considering another course of treatment, we started looking for a clinic closer to home.

During our research, we found StemPlus in Europe and learned that the clinic works with MUSE cells. After communicating with the medical team and discussing our son’s case, we decided to continue his regenerative treatment there.

Our Experience at StemPlus

We came to StemPlus in January 2026 for his second course of cell therapy.

In the months following treatment, we continued to observe his behavior, communication, attention, and everyday interactions.

Today, several months later, the most noticeable change for us is how much calmer he has become.

The aggressive behavior that used to dominate many difficult moments has decreased considerably. He is better able to stay calm and participate in everyday activities without becoming overwhelmed as quickly.

More Attention and More Words

We have also noticed progress in his attention.

Our son can stay focused for longer and seems more interested in what is happening around him. It has become easier to get his attention, communicate with him, and involve him in activities.

His vocabulary has also grown. He uses more words than before and makes more attempts to communicate what he wants or needs.

We also feel that he understands us better. When we explain something or give him a simple instruction, he seems to process the information more easily than before.

For another person, these changes may seem small. For our family, they make a real difference in everyday life.

Looking at His Progress Today

Our son still has autism and continues to need developmental support. We understand that there is no single treatment that can address every challenge associated with autism.

But when we compare where he is today with where we started, we see meaningful progress: he is calmer, aggressive episodes have decreased, his attention has improved, his vocabulary has expanded, and communication with him has become easier.

We are very happy to see him becoming more engaged with us and with the world around him.

Every child with autism is different, and this is only our family’s experience. We cannot know how another child will respond to the same approach. We simply wanted to share the changes we have observed during our son’s journey and how meaningful they have been for our family.
